Alan Douglas Rogers

Alan Douglas Rogers, 67, of Ammon, Idaho, passed away July 17, 2025, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital of heart failure.

Alan was born February 18, 1958, in La Grande, Oregon, to Francis Myron Rogers and Darlene Tingey Rogers. He grew up in La Grande, St. Helens, and Tigard, Oregon. He graduated from Tigard High School in 1976. Later, he attended Portland Community College.

On June 29, 1991, he married Nancy Mill in Portland, Oregon. Alan and Nancy made their home in Troutdale, Oregon. He worked as a copier technician for Pacific Office Automation in Beaverton, Oregon. He retired in March of 2020, and shortly after, moved to Ammon, Idaho.

Alan had an enthusiasm for cars. In 2010, Alan checked off a bucket list item and rode with a NASCAR driver at Walt Disney World in Florida. Also, after purchasing three Mustangs, they became members of the Mustang Wrangler Club in Oregon for five years.

Family was very important to Alan and Nancy. Alan was always up to date on the latest computer technology and often found opportunities to help his mom and dad upgrade their computers and solve software problems. He spent many hours playing games, laughing (and crying), shooting off rockets, and learning the interests of his nieces and nephews. He was always looking for ways to involve them in activities. Family dinners for Thanksgiving and Christmas were always fun because he would have something new to share with everyone. Recently, he purchased a UTV which has been really fun for the whole family (even though Alan was the main driver).

Alan is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Dee Rogers of Ammon, ID; son, Steve Rogers of Oregon; brothers, Gary (Becky), Bill, and David (Marla) Rogers, all of Utah; sisters, Jean (Adrian) Baird of Idaho and Patricia (Loren) Garner of Utah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
