Alan Hansen

Alan Jack Hansen, 62, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 24, 2013, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born August 31, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Hans Marvin Hansen and Waneta Blatter Hansen. He and his siblings were raised by their aunt and uncle, Rufus S. Olsen and Inez Blatter Olsen. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, graduating from Bonneville High School. He earned a certificate in Small Engine Repair from Eastern Idaho Technical College (EITC). He married Luana Edwards and they were later divorced. On June 19, 1991, he married Glenda Rae Logan in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on September 20, 1992. He worked as a machine operator and as a mechanic in the injection molding department at the Developmental Workshop for 24 years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as the Priesthood Organist. Alan enjoyed playing the organ, accordion, keyboard and doing small engine repair. Survivors are: Wife: Glenda Hansen, Idaho Falls, ID Nephew: Mark (Natalie) Madsen, Goshen, ID He was preceded in death by his biological parents, Hans and Waneta; his aunt and uncle, Rufus and Inez; and his siblings, Willard Andros Hansen and Carol Ann Madsen. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31, 2013, at the Ammon Cemetery with Bishop Jay G. Doman, of the Idaho Falls LDS 2nd Ward, officiating.
