ALAIN O. HANSEN
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Alain Otteson Hansen, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 11, 2006, at her home of natural causes after a prolonged illness. She was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
She was born March 30, 1931, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Alan Waldo Otteson and Pearl Curtis Galbraith Otteson. She grew up in Conrad, Montana, and moved to Ammon at age 14. She graduated from Ammon High School.
She married Wayne LeRoy Hansen February 16, 1949, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Ammon and Shelley before settling in Osgood 48 years ago, and she has been a dedicated wife and homemaker. Wayne passed away February 3, 1995.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in various capacities over the years, including two full time missions at the Family History Center in St. George, Utah. She enjoyed music, family history, genealogy, and machine quilting, which she taught in classes at Porter's Crafts.

Brother: Ronald Fowler, Rock Springs, WY
Sister: Joyce Moore, Mesa, AZ
Sister: Bernice Peterson, Conrad, MT
23 Grandchildren and 21 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne, a son, Mark, and a daughter, Sandra.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2006, at the Idaho Falls LDS Osgood Ward, 7940 North 35th West. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, and Friday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
