Click Here To View Memorial Video Adrian Vernon Grimaud, 87, of Idaho Falls, passed away on January 18, 2014, after a brief but hard-fought battle with cancer. He was born on March 3, 1926, in Pocatello, Idaho to Adrian Pierre Grimaud and Emma Elodia Higby Grimaud. He attended schools in Pingree and graduated from Thomas High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was stationed in the Philippines. He continued his education at University of Idaho and Idaho State University where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics and Math. On November 7, 1953, he married Carolyn Faye Cornwall in Pocatello, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized on June 29, 1963, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He worked at the site as a reactor engineer, physicist and reactor mathematician, and supervisor of computer programming for Phillips Petroleum. He also worked for Exxon and the INEL as a computer programmer, analyst and consultant. He had been a member of Toastmasters, the American Legion, served as PTA President, and was on the Idaho Mental Health Association State Board of Directors. Adrian was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, traveling, farming, and especially loved family activities. Survivors are: Daughter: Marilyn (Bill) Henry, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Barbara (Randy) Francis, St. Anthony, ID Daughter: Shirley Henry, Ammon, ID Daughter: Helen Grimaud, Rigby, ID Daughter: Janet (Stan) Ingram, Ammon, ID Son: Allen (Sherri) Grimaud, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Richard Grimaud, Idaho Falls, ID 25 Grandchildren and 46 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and a sister, Vera Sasser. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home Eastside, 963 S. Ammon Rd., with Kris Meek, 1st Counselor in the Bishopric of the Kearney LDS 3rd Ward, officiating. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery with military rites performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team and Idaho Honor Guard.

Funeral Services will be held

Friday January 24, 2014 , 2:00 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side

The family will visit with friends on Friday from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ammon Cemetery.
