"DEE" PARKS IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Addie Arlene Carpenter Parks, 60, of Idaho Falls, died February 23, 2003, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born December 29, 1942, at Bakersfield, California, to Almus Richard Carpenter and Betty Uzell Richard Carpenter. She grew up and attended schools in the area. Following graduation from high school, she attended the University of California at San Bernardino. On January 22, 1978, she married Mark Delyn Parks in California. They lived in California, Idaho, and Texas. She was a foster parent for several years. She enjoyed reading, gardening, and playing on the computer. Surviving are:Husband: Mark Parks, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Laura D. (Jon C.) Lee, Pocatello, IDand a brother from San Bernardino, CA 2 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband. Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m Thursday, February 27, 2003, at Fielding Memorial Park. The family will meet with friends on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. and Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. Dee... so special and dear. My special friend and "touchstone" that no one could ever possibly replace. Words cannot possibly express my feelings and shock at the news of the loss of Dee. My heartfelt sympathy is extended to her beloved husband Mark, "her king" in her words. And to her lovely daughter Laura, and all of her family. This will be a great loss to all who were fortunate enough to have known Dee. I was blessed to have been her friend. I know Dee's spirit and love will live on through each and all that knew her heart, as it will endure with me forever and ever, as long as I live. Bless you Dee.
