Aaron Valentine Lewis Jr. , 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 7, 2014, at his home. He was under the care of Hands of Hope Hospice.
Aaron was born December 28, 1938, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Aaron V. Lewis Sr. and Elvina Patterson Lewis. He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended O.E. Bell Junior High.
On March 17, 1978, he married Rosemarie Gellings Lewis in Idaho Falls. To this union were born six children, Aaron, Dewey, Jerri, Ben, Paul, and Peter. Aaron and Rosemarie made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Aaron worked for a hide house, Gellings Moving and Storage, as a mover for Lemon’s House Moving, and at Polytech.
He was a Minister at the Church of God In Christ. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time with the kids, grandkids, friends and family, and especially time with his wife.
Aaron is survived by
his loving wife of 37 years, Rosemarie Lewis of Idaho Falls, ID;
son, Dewey D. Lewis of Boise;
daughter, Jerri (Justin) Clifford of Idaho Falls;
son, Ben Lewis of Idaho Falls;
son, Paul (Mimi) Lewis of Idaho Falls;
son, Peter (Marsha) Lewis of Idaho Falls;
sister, Margaret Anne Kelly of Idaho Falls;
sister, Illa Lewis of Idaho Falls;
sister, Mary Lewis of Knoxville, TN;
sister, Donna Lewis of Idaho Falls;
brother, Bart Lewis of Idaho Falls,
21 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Aaron Valentine Lewis III, and three brothers Dean, John, and Dewey, and a nephew Bobby Ray Allen III.
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2014, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge, with Pastor Mike Glaser officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to the services.
