Terrell Toone

Terrell Alonzo Toone, 83, of Idaho Falls, passed away May 7, 2017, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

He was born July 29, 1933, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Orran Alonzo Toone and Margaret Catherine Howell Toone. He grew up in the area and attended Idaho Falls High School. He also attended Idaho State University where he obtained an Associate’s Degree.

In 1951, he married Doloras Marie Cousin in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Terrell and Doloras moved to Twin Falls for six months and then to California where they had their three children. They spent 16 years in California before returning to Idaho Falls. Terrell worked as a driver for various companies. Doloras passed away on January 31, 1998.

In 1998, he married Mabel Hatch Wright in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She passed away October 22, 2013.

Terrell was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He enjoyed reading, watching old movies, and spending times with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Terrell is survived by son, Robert John (Cathy) Toone of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Terri Elaine (Terry) Taylor of Ammon, ID; son, Lance David (Terri) Toone of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Barbara Alvord of Scottsdale, AZ; brother, David (Darla) Toone of Simi Valley, CA; 8 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Doris Toone; his wife, Mabel Toone; sisters, Patty Thompson, Beverly Nield, and Hollie McCullough, and brother, Bruce Toone.

Graveside Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, May 12, 2017, at Fielding Memorial Park, 4602 South Yellowstone Highway. The family will visit with friends on Friday from 11:00 am to 11:45 am at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
