SETH AND JESSICA OWEN
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Jessica Marie Sheen was born January
15, 1982, in Provo, Utah, to Kevin James Sheen and Paula Jean Boswell
Sheen. She attended Seneca Valley High School, then BYU-Idaho. As a member
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in the
Relief Society and as a Primary teacher. She enjoyed quilting, gardening,
music and homemaking.
Seth Alan Owen was born March 28, 1979, in Idaho Falls,
Idaho, to Rick L. Owen and Dalene Farmer Owen. He attended Hawthorne Elementary,
Eagle Rock Jr. High, Skyline High and BYU-Idaho. He had served an LDS
mission to Malaga, Spain. He graduated college with a degree in Business
Management, and was starting a career in financial management. He enjoyed
photography, music, skiing and baseball.
Seth and Jessica met at BYU-Idaho in the Fall of 2000.
They were both involved in orchestral groups - Jessica played the clarinet
and Seth the oboe. They fell in love and were married in the Idaho Falls
Temple on September 1, 2001.
On March 11, 2003, their son, Seth Alexander Owen was
born, and his arrival meant everything to them. Jessica loved her small
family deeply and she loved being a mother. She loved to sit on the grass
with Alexander and play games with him. Seth was a devoted father and
wanted more than anything to raise his son as a good man. Together, Seth
and Jessi brought up Alexander in a spiritual, loving home. They frequently
read together as a family. Seth and Jessi looked forward to having a large
family, and were delighted in February 2004, when they found they were
expecting their second child.
Though they are gone from us in life, we know that they
are together in spirit, and with our Father in Heaven. Alexander will
have their love and their guidance as he goes throughout his life. His
survival is a miracle and all who know him can see in him the greatness
of his parents.
