Randy Kay Hunsaker

Randy Kay Hunsaker, 74, of Idaho Falls, went home to be with our Lord and Savior and his loving wife and son on September 7, 2022, at his home.

Randy was born June 13, 1948, in Rigby, Idaho, to Loran Wayne Hunsaker and Marcheta Pearl Casper Hunsaker. Randy attended school in the Idaho Falls area until he graduated from Bonneville High School in 1966. While in school, Randy met the love of his life, Peggy Jean Fann. He married Peggy after they graduated high school and right before Randy was set to start his service in the United States Army. After enlistment and boot camp, Randy was stationed in Germany where his wife joined him through his service. While stationed there, Peggy and Randy welcomed a son into their lives. After Randy's service was up, the family returned back to Idaho Falls. Once home, Randy started his career with Marco. A few years after starting there, Peggy and Randy welcomed a daughter into their family. He worked for Marco until retirement at age 65.

Randy was a devoted husband and father. His children were the light of his life. Randy enjoyed the out of doors and all that could include, hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation. In his later years and retirement, he and Peggy enjoyed traveling and took many trips to Mexico. Randy was an avid golfer up until his body wouldn't allow him. Peggy and Randy developed lifelong friendships with many people and could often be seen traveling, golfing, or out to dinner with them. Randy was soft spoken and easy going and loved by all that came across his path.

Randy is survived by his daughter, Miranda Hunsaker of Layton, UT; grandchildren, Kaitlin Martinez and Dominic Martinez, both of Layton, UT; siblings, Wayne (Megan) Hunsaker of Selah, WA, Cal (Roxane) Hodges of Albion, WA, Kelley Hodges of Lewiston, ID, Tonah Hartig of Frazier, MI, Ryan (Susie) Hodges of Spokane, WA; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Loren Hunsaker; mother, Marcheta Hodges; step-father, Hal Hodges; sister, DeEsta Hodges; wife, Peggy Hunsaker; son, William "Bill" Hunsaker; and nephew, Clay Johnson.

Services will be held at a later date.
