Ofelia (Meza) Gonzalez

Ofelia Gonzalez, 75, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 22, 2022, at her home.

Ofelia was born July 13, 1947, in Michoacan, Mexico, to Aureliano Meza and Dolores Ramirez Meza. She grew up in Mexico and moved to Idaho 27 years ago.

She married Federico Gonzalez in February of 1965, in Mexico.

She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.  She loved to cook and feed everyone. She mostly enjoyed seeing her family together to spend time with them and loved her grandchildren very much.

Ofelia is survived by her son, Jaime (Rosa Elia Suarez de Gonzalez) Gonzalez of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Lucero (Luis Garcia) Gonzalez de Garcia of Mexico City; daughter, Jhoseline (Roberto Suarez) Gonzalez de Suarez of Mexico City; daughter, Ivette (Marcos Godoy) Gonzalez de Godoy; daughter, Tania (Jose Rodriguez) Gonzalez of Idaho Falls, ID; 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Federico Gonzalez; and her son, Ruben Gonzalez.

Funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Christ The King Catholic Church, 1690 E. 17th Street, with Father Uhlenkott officiating.  Burial will be in the Iona Cemetery.

Ofelia González, de 75 años, de Idaho Falls, falleció el 22 de octubre de 2022 en su casa.

Ofelia nació el 13 de julio de 1947 en Michoacán, México, de Aureliano Meza y Dolores Ramírez Meza. Creció en México y se mudó a Idaho hace 27 años.

Se casó con Federico González en febrero de 1965, en México.

Era miembro de la Iglesia Católica del Santo Rosario. Le encantaba cocinar y alimentar a todos. Disfrutaba sobre todo de ver a su familia junta para pasar tiempo con ellos y amaba mucho a sus nietos.

A Ofelia le sobreviven su hijo, Jaime (Rosa Elia Suarez de Gonzalez) Gonzalez de Idaho Falls, ID; hija, Lucero (Luis García) González de García de la Ciudad de México; hija, Jhoseline (Roberto Suarez) González de Suarez de la Ciudad de México; hija, Ivette (Marcos Godoy) González de Godoy; hija, Tania (José Rodríguez) González de Idaho Falls, ID; 14 nietos y 6 bisnietos.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres; y su esposo, Federico González; y su hijo, Rubén González.

La misa fúnebre se llevará a cabo a las 11:00 a. m. del jueves 27 de octubre de 2022 en la iglesia católica Christ The King, 1690 E. 17th Street, oficiando el padre Uhlenkott. El entierro será en el Cementerio de Iona.
