Kristie Lynn Stevens Steffes, 40, of Swan Valley, Idaho, passed away December 13, 2011 at her home. Kristie was born November 3, 1971, in Spokane, Washington, to Vernel Stevens and Marlene Seagul Kloepfel. She grew up in Spokane and Idaho Falls. She attended Bonneville High School, but always considered Idaho Falls her home. On November 17, 1988, she married William Steffes in Idaho Falls. Together they raised two children. Kristie worked as a waitress at various restaurants. Most recently, she enjoyed managing her eBay store online. She also served with the PTA at the Swan Valley School. Kristie was a member of the Lutheran faith. She loved her kids and being with them. Kristie enjoyed horses and horseback riding; she had a love for all animals. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to family and friends. Survivors include: Her Husband, William Steffes, Daughter, Amanda Steffes, and Son, Matthew Steffes, all of Swan Valley, ID; Mother, Marlene Kloepfel, of Spokane, WA; Brother, Nick Stevens, of Montana; Sister, Laurie (Josh) Scott of Spokane, WA; And nieces, nephews and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Vernel Stevens and her uncle, Miles Stevens. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2011, at the Chapel in the Valley in Swan Valley, Idaho.
