After a valiant battle with cancer, Jordan Brant Clay, 30, of Ammon, passed away on July 30, 2016, surrounded by family at his home.
He was born June 18, 1986, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Bruce John Clay and Lisa Marie Hilmer Clay. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Bonneville High School. He later attended Eastern Idaho Technical College (EITC) where he received a journeyman electrician’s license.
On June 6, 2015, he married Kari Kishiyama in Idaho Falls and were joined as a family with Cadence and Adrian Sturgeon. He worked as a Journeyman Electrician for R&R Electric. He was a member of Watersprings Church.
Jordan loved camping, riding his motorcycle, spending time with family and friends, and being a loving husband and father.
Survivors are Wife: Kari Clay of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Stepdaughter: Cadence Sturgeon of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Stepson: Adrian Sturgeon of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mother: Lisa Clay of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Sister: Jeanna Clay (Derek) Hill of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Grandparents: Donna Jean and Virgil Lawrence, Christine Wold, Daniel and Nancy Kishiyama; and the Clay family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Clay; a brother, Johnathan Clay; his grandfather, John Wold; and a brother-in-law, Nathan Kishiyama.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2016 at Watersprings Church (4250 South 25th East) in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and on Friday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate funeral donations be made to Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. in Idaho Falls. Burial will be at the Firth Riverview Cemetery.
