John Bruce Reeder, 71, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully in his home on January 16, 2023.
John was born December 23, 1951, in Ogden, Utah, to Seth Darrell and Mary Lou Foutz Reeder. John had a happy childhood with his older brother, Dan; younger brothers, Tom and David; and sister, Nancy. Visiting his grandparents and cousins was always a highlight.

He attended schools in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
On April 14, 1972, he married Bonita Burtenshaw in the Idaho Falls Temple. Together, they raised five children. They enjoyed spending time in Island Park at the Reeder cabin.
John was a hard worker. He retired from the INL after 29 years as a custodian. He continued to do custodial work for The Good Samaritan, Fairwinds, the Idaho Falls Temple, and Dillard’s. He also owned a carpet cleaning business, and was well liked by all.
After his divorce, he met and married Sherry Bowman on January 22, 2002. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in September 2005. They enjoyed traveling, going to movies, going on walks with their beloved dogs, Rizzy and Whylee, and visiting family.
John is survived by his wife, Sherry Reeder of Idaho Falls, ID; children, Joseph (Heather) Reeder, Robert Reeder, Michael (Diana) Reeder, Rebecca (Ralph) Faneus, Mary (Nathan) Rowan; step-children, Michelle Denison, Jesse (Laura) Mitchell, Curtis (Robyn) Mitchell, Justin (Leesa) Mitchell, Ryan (Katrina) Mitchell, and Randy (Alice) Mitchell; siblings, Daniel Reeder, Thomas (Kim) Reeder, David (Susan) Reeder, Nancy (Douglas) Weber; over 30 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
