IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Our beautiful sweetheart, Carol Dianne Jenson-Scott, was born March 2, 1949, to John Roland and LaDeane Harris Jenson in Pocatello, Idaho. She returned to her Heavenly Father on August 8, 2009.
Carol attended public schools in Pocatello, and, after having moved to Twin Falls, Idaho, when her father was transferred by Mountain States Telephone Company, graduated from Twin Falls High School in 1967.
She was a remarkable dancer. Her beautiful and graceful dancing abilities opened many doors of opportunity for her. She began her dancing career at the Mary Kasai Dance Studios in Pocatello at the age of 3 and danced well into her 50's. Along the way she earned many awards and medals for competitive tap, ballet, jazz, and modern dance.
Carol was a professional model – incredibly statuesque and photogenic. She attended the Patricia Stevens Fashion Finishing School in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated in 1969 with a degree in Fashion Merchandising, with a major in Bridal Consulting and a minor in Interior Decorating. She nurtured this education into a business career that included teaching many young ladies how to dance, how to gain self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth.
She was a very talented artist. Her home has many of her paintings decorating and gracing the walls. Her talents in arts and crafts led her to start a business in Pocatello called Patchwork Paintbox and to manage the Roberts Crafts Store in Idaho Falls for several years. She taught many people how to tole paint, how to bring out their individual talents, how to visualize dimension, create perspective and, then, paint this concept on canvas or carve this idea in wood. She loved music. Her home was always filled with the peace that only music can bring. She worked many years at Chesbro Music in Idaho Falls as the Director of Sales for the Music Gift Division. Carol was elected one of the Top 10 Career Girls of Salt Lake City, won several beauty contests along the way, and earned many wonderful friends. Many of her closest friends, the ones she initially met in junior high school, still remain very close. For several years they have held an annual retreat in Island Park and still spend much loving time together. Carol was a true and noble friend.
Carol was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was so proud to belong and truly honored her membership through service. She served many years in the Young Women's Program as a teacher, dance director, and leader. She so enjoyed serving in the Relief Society. She was a true example of "Charity Never Faileth" as she served the sisters with compassion. At the time of her death she had just been released as a member of the presidency of the Relief Society in her ward.
Carol married her high school sweetheart, Ronald O. Scott, Jr., and they were sealed for time and all eternity in the San Diego Temple. Her beloved daughter, Brandy, was and will always remain her special love and true friend. Brandy is married to a very special son-in-law, Greg Simpson. Three beautiful and deeply loved grandchildren, Alexis, Traedyn, and Landyn, have so blessed Carol's life. She truly loved her family as wife, mother, daughter, and friend. Because she loved, she was loved.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2009, at the Idaho Falls LDS 11th Ward, 1235 Juniper, with President Jared Fuhriman of the Idaho Falls Central Stake Presidency officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road, and Friday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.

What can be said when you lose such a person as Carol, Im sorry! She is in a better place! These things just do not seem to be enough. Carol was a true friend, I loved her. Even though we had lost touch and only found each other again last year it was as if we had never been apart.
Ron and Brandee, may God comfort you and ease your pain.
Carol has taken a piece of my heart with her. I will miss her terribly.

I was saddened to read in my Pocatello paper of dear Carol's passing. I met Carol when she was teaching painting at her Patchwork Paintbox business. I had very little artistic ability, but Carol never gave up on me. I actually continued going because I so enjoyed being around Carol with her energetic personality and never ending humor. I just loved being around her. Actually we used to joke for I never ever completed a piece of art that I could take home. They were always a work in progress because I spent most of my time laughing and joking with Carol. She had such a magnetic personality. After Carol and Brandee moved to Idaho Falls, I stored my paints away. Through the years I ran into Carol a few times in Idaho Falls and so enjoyed a laugh, of course, and a quick visit. She definitely left this world a better place and I will always remember her with a smile and fun memories of how that girl could get me to laughing. She was a true lady in every sense of the word. Carol, I'll miss you.

Dear family of Carol:
My deepest condolences. Carol was a wonderful lady whom I had the privilege to work with at Rocky Mountain Diabetes and Osteoporosis Center in IF, where I was a diabetes educator and later a physician assistant for many years.
I very much admired Carol. She was always such a pleasure to work with; very pleasant, kind and graceful. I always looked forward to seeing her. She made this world a better place. She is likely to continue to brighten the existence for everyone on the other side. I am so glad you will be able to be together again.
Sincerely,
Helena

My deepest sympathy. Carol was a wonderfully talented and charismatic woman. She will sorely be missed. She was taken far too early, I can only think she had another mission.

Ron - you don't know us, but we are long-time customers of Chesbro Music, and spoke with Carol on a weekly basis for several years while placing our orders. Her happy voice and helpful attitude made it a pleasure to do business with Chesbro over the years. I was more than a customer to her, and she was more than a service rep to us. She will be missed greatly. We are blessed to have known her.
