Afton Bare

Afton Rae Bare, 58, of Roy, Utah, passed away December 27, 2015, at her home.

Afton was born December 24, 1957, in Whitehall, Montana. She grew up and attended schools in Rigby, St. Anthony, and West Jefferson High School. She had four children, Shem, Mickey, Ty, and Kassie. Afton was self-employed as a painter, and painted residential and commercial properties. She spent the last ten years in Roy, Utah, with her daughter, Kassie, who was her best friend. Afton was a Christian. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved all things cowboy, especially John Wayne.

Afton is survived by her son, Shem (Melissa) Bare of Meridian, ID; son, Mickey (Susanna) Bare of Salem, OR; son, Ty Bare of Sacramento, CA; daughter, Kassie Bare of Roy, UT; step-father, Gordon Rudd of Dubois, ID; brother, Kelly Holland of Ririe, ID; sister, Adrian Rudd of Boise, ID; sister, Melody Evans of Rigby, ID; sister, Tammy (Brian) Harrison of HI; 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles; sister, Daynell Lamb; brother-in-law, Lee Evans; and love of her life, R.C. A small get-together will be held for family and loved ones at 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 1, 2016, at Karen’s Club, 362 Park Avenue in Idaho Falls. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Gordon Rudd at the Bank of Commerce, in memory of Afton.
