Tony Ray Bradford, 53, of Roberts, Idaho, passed away November 17, 2019, peacefully, at home surrounded by his family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was under the kind and loving care of Brio Home Health and Hospice and Dr. Dane Dickson.
Tony was born March 11, 1966, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Charles George Bradford and Darlene Lucille Wallace Balentine Bradford. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls, and graduated from Bonneville High School in 1984.
He was married to Amy Butikofer of Iona, Idaho. They were later divorced.
He worked for Eldon Halford’s House of Color Body Shop, Wild West Designs, and Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls.
He was a very skilled, avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, bow hunting, horn hunting, fishing, trapping, and hiking. His talents and hobbies included taxidermy, building Scalenet fish nets, detailed woodworking and design, carving, and gold panning.
He was a dedicated and loving son, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. He had a no-nonsense personality and razor sharp sense of humor which will be greatly missed.
Tony is survived by his father, George Bradford of Roberts, ID; son, Bodee Butikofer of Rigby, ID; brother, Brady Bradford of Shelley, ID; sister, Katherine Bradford (Brent) Struhs of Rigby, ID; and sister, Cindy Bradford (Arnie) Lowrey of Conway, AR; nephews, Brent Bradford of Salt Lake City, UT, Benjamin Bradford of Ammon, ID, Brandon Struhs of San Diego, CA, and Blake Struhs of Denver, CO.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene Bradford of Idaho Falls; paternal grandparents, Aubrey and Eunice Dougan Bradford of Idaho Falls; and maternal grandparents, Victor and Irene Balentine Plesha of Yuma, AZ.
A celebration of Tony’s life will be held with his family and life-long friends at a later date.
