OBITUARY INFORMATION
Sharon Reed

Sharon LaRue Cook Reed, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away on November 10, 2012, at Fairwinds Sand Creek Retirement Community.

She was born April 24, 1935, in Rexburg, Idaho to Myron Franklin Cook and Gladys Rose Clay Cook. The family moved to Idaho Falls where she grew up and attended school.

On April 17, 1952, she married David Smith Reed in Idaho Falls. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in 1972. David preceded her in death on September 13, 2006. Sharon was a devoted mother and homemaker and also worked as a school secretary at Osgood Elementary School.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in numerous positions. She enjoyed quilting, handwork, canning, gardening, and spending time at the cabin with her husband. She had a great love for her pets. She especially loved her family and being with her children and grandchildren.

Son: D. Brad (Anita) Reed, Idaho Falls, ID
Son: Christon (Melissa) Reed, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Tracy (Ron) Corbett, Firth, ID
Brother: Keith (Dorothy) Cook, Idaho Falls, ID
15 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Myron and Gladys; her husband, David; and her brother, Kenneth Cook.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at the Osgood Ward Building (7940 North 35th West). The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 6:30-8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and on Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the church.
