DOUG POWELL

IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Douglas Wayne Powell, 47, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 12, 2009, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes.

He was born September 4, 1961, in San Diego, California, to Phillip Wayne Powell and Patricia Rae Webster Powell. He was raised by his grandparents, Boyd and Greta Pettingill. He attended schools in Rexburg.

He married Wynona Ann “Wendy” Elder Chapman March 1, 2001, in Idaho Falls. He worked as a collector for Rocky Mountain Power.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheeling and spending time with his family.

5 Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Boyd and Greta Pettingill.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2009, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, with David Lybolt officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and Friday for one hour prior to services, both at Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park..
