IDAHO FALLS, ID -- James Kevin Ingelstrom, 53, of Idaho Falls, died March 28, 2008, at his home. He was under the care of his daughters and Hands of Hope Hospice.

He was born August 5, 1954, in Idaho Falls to James Ingelstrom and Dorothy Nettie Hoff Ingelstrom. He grew up in the area and attended O. E Bell Junior High and Idaho Falls High School. He married SharonWest in 1972 and they were later divorced. He married Wendy Chaffin on September 10, 1983 and they were later divorced. He married Karen Charboneau on September 29, 1990 and they were later divorced. He attended Idaho State University in Pocatello and worked as a journeyman electrician in the construction industry.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed taking care of his family and friends, sharing everything he could and living life to the fullest, loving every moment of it. He had a special relationship with his grandson, Kaden Timothy Spotted Bear.

Sister: Ronnie Leonard, St. George, UT
Sister: Madaline Lambert, Boise, ID
Brother: Walt Hill
1 Grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, a two brothers, Kim Ingelstrom and Rick Evers.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2008, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, Idaho Falls, with Bishop Steven Bates of the Idaho Falls LDS Westhill Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to a memorial fund set up in Kevin’s name through Zion’s Bank.

I just want you to know how sorry I am for the Inglestrom family, losing two family members in such a short time is so sad. Colten sends his love, as you know he lived with Kevin for a while, but he's been through a lot this year so he's declining attending the funeral. Know your family is with us in spirit and prayer. While I never met Kevin, he had a profound impact upon my father, John Stephenson. My father loved Kevin so very much. His presence in my father's life was a crucial one, and his passing came to soon. He will be missed.

My ex-husband, Pat Boyd, and I were so sorry to hear of Kevin's passing. We now feel so lucky to have visited with Kevin at Kim's funeral. Our hearts go out to your family for such a hard year.
However, we sincerely cherish the memories we have of Kim, Kevin, and the gang and the friendships formed so many years ago.
Their time on this earth had meaning to so many of us.

Sunny, I noticed your Dad's obituary in the paper and wanted you to know that I am thinking of you and Korann. I have often wondered what you are doing these days. I enjoyed having you in my room in the third grade at Fox Hollow. I am retired now and enjoying time to do what I wish.

I will always remember the times going to Grandma's house, (I know she was actually Sheree's Grandma), but she made me feel like she was my Grandma too. I actually feel I was very blessed to have had so many Grandma's and Grandpa's to have touched my life. We always went on Christmas Eve, and the Ingelstrom's always made me feel at home. Thinking back, what I remember about Kevin was, when he would see you he'd get this little twinkle in his eyes and then he'd smile, and he'd always come and say hi and ask how you were doing. He always seemed happy with life. He was in the prime of his life, he will be greatly missed.

For the first time in my life I think I'm speechless. My heart has such a big hole in it now. I worked and grew up with Kim and Kevin at the Soup Kitchen, still have not had a bowl of Clam Chowder that can match up to theirs. (Dorothy was a great teacher). Kevin had such a light in his eyes and a laugh that I can never forget, I can hear it now! Kevin taught me how to meditate, and sing with the Beatles. We thought we (all) were part of the band! (right David?) I only met his first child, but it seem he had more, your Dad as you know was someone special and had many friends. He will be missed very much. You are lucky to have had him for the time that you did, remember the lessons that he taught, he many to teach. My thoughts and prayers are with those of us left here.
