LYNN BATESIDAHO FALLS, ID -- Lynn Merrill Bates, 63, of Idaho Falls, died May 8, 2008, at his home from complications due to a surgery. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health and Hospice.
He was born July 14, 1944, in Tetonia, Idaho, to Ernest Merrill Bates and Thora Irene Little Bates. He attended schools in the Teton Valley and Minico. He lived most of his life in Idaho Falls.
On March 12, 1996, he married Karen Elaine Brown in Elko, Nevada. He worked as a truck driver for AMCOR, and a Camp Host.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Lynn enjoyed being a camp host and meeting people, and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will meet with friends for a memorial gathering from 5-6:30 p.m., Monday, May 12, 2008, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Ave., Idaho Falls, ID.--------------------------------------------
