IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Don M Esplin, 72, of Shelley, died April 23, 2002, at his daughter’s home in Ucon. He was born April 5, 1930 at Basalt, Idaho to Marion C. Esplin and Voilet Mitchell Esplin. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Shelley High School. He then graduated from Ricks College where he majored in Agriculture. He served as a Corporal in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Lorna Cox January 29, 1951 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He was a husband, father, rancher, farmer, and businessman. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the scouting program, in youth leadership positions, as a Sunday School Teacher, and he and his wife were Stake Dance Directors. He was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing, horseback riding, skiing, camping, hunting, square dancing, making pies, and especially spending time with his family. Surviving are: Burial will be in Shelley-Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. Military rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team.
